Built on four pillars
PivotScanner is designed around the four records a small fleet actually needs to keep — all live today, and all included in the per-vessel price.
Offline-first infrastructure
Each screen you have opened once while online keeps working with no connection — including data entry and PDF exports. Changes queue on the device and sync when you are back online, and you always see whether a change is synced or still queued. Some things need a connection, such as opening a screen on a device for the first time, uploading attached files and account changes. It is the foundation the other three pillars run on.
Crew certification management
Every crew member and every STCW certificate they hold — who issued it, when it expires, and whether your flag state endorses it. Rank-gap and expiry warnings show what is missing or expiring.
Vessel certification management
Each vessel’s statutory certificates and documents (SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM, ISPS, MLC, Load Line and more) tracked against a sourced catalog, with expiry dates and a register you can search and filter across the fleet.
Hours of rest recording & management
Log crew rest offline, check it automatically against MLC 2006 / STCW rest rules, and generate the signed Table B record-of-rest PDF to hand to an inspector.
Expiry reminders by daily or weekly email, and planned-maintenance scheduling, are included across all of it.
Common questions
- Can I cancel any time?
- Yes — there’s no lock-in. Cancel any time from Settings → Billing: your plan runs to the end of the current period and won’t renew, and you keep full access until then. No phone call needed, no extra steps.
- What payment methods do you accept?
- Credit and debit cards, plus the local payment methods Creem offers at checkout. Payments are processed by Creem as our merchant of record — they handle VAT and sales tax worldwide, so your invoice is always tax-correct for your country.
- What does early access mean?
- PivotScanner is being tested before launch, and it is free until then: every feature is unlocked, there is no trial countdown, and no card is needed. We will announce the launch date at least 30 days before launch: by email to account holders, and on the pricing page and in the app. From launch day, your account gets a free trial of at least 30 days. A paid plan starts only if you choose one, and it then renews monthly until you cancel. You can subscribe from Settings → Billing now, but you do not need to: if you pay before launch, we refund the payment.
- Who owns the data I put into PivotScanner?
- You do. For the crew details you enter, you are the controller under the GDPR and we process them on your behalf. We do not sell, share, or analyze your fleet data for any purpose other than serving it back to you. You can export your certificate, drill and rest-hour records as PDFs at any time, and you can ask us to export or delete your data. See our privacy policy for the details.
- Does PivotScanner work without internet?
- Yes, for daily work. Once a screen has been opened online on a device, you can add and edit records there and make PDF exports with no connection. Changes queue locally on the device and sync to the cloud when connectivity returns. A few things need a connection: opening a screen on a device for the first time, uploading an attached file, editing expected-document templates, the records-consistency check, and account or billing changes.
